an articleAfter much anticipation and some delays, Authorities have advised the road between Falls Creek and Mt Beauty is expected to open on April 25, 2023, with single lane access only. This date is dependant on favourable weather conditions continuing, but unfortunately this means the road will not be open in time for Easter. The Committee has taken the decision to re-open the Lodge on June 1, 2023. There has not been anyone in the Lodge since the end of the 2022 Ski Season ek.com/images/social/fbicon.pngand there are a number of maintenance items to be addressed before we can have people back in the Lodge. A reminder that until the road re-opens on April 25, 2023, the only access into and out of Falls Creek remains via Omeo in the South or Mitta Mitta in the North. Services in the resort remain limited because most staff cannot feasibly travel to work and in the event of a serious incident, Emergency Services may need to travel from Omeo which is about 2 hours away from Falls Creek.
