Season 2025 starts with a dumpOpening weekend was fully booked. Lucky visitors were treated to more than 60cm of snow AND first tracks for the season on Wombats. This was on top of the fireworks, the FCAA Mountain Muster at Icicles, and other Opening events around the village. Check your diary and book now to take advantage of the early snow! Remember to check our Balcony cam, first instalment from Sunday 8 June below. RemindersTo help all members and guests enjoy time at the Lodge, please remember:
Lodge etiquette: put your name on your boots, take out rubbish if it’s near the entry, and help if more wood is needed from the wood store under the kitchen. Equipment: rice cookers, soda stream, Nespresso machine (BYO coffee pods). Relax and enjoy – its everyone’s holiday! Ski Cages – empty by 1 October 2025Please take all your skis and boards with you on your last visit this season. There are plans for further upgrades to the ski cages during the 2025-26 summer and the cages need to be empty by 1 October. |

EventsChristmas in July: Thursday 24 July. Club Race and Race Dinner: Saturday 2 August. Race Dinner theme: headwear. AAC Interclub races: Saturday 6 September, hosted by Perisher. Working Bee reportAround 15 volunteers helped get the Club ready for the season. Jobs included stacking firewood, cleaning, minor repairs and improvements. Below: new system to organise ski cages. Thanks to all attendees and, as usual to Jess for her efforts in keeping everyone fed and refreshed. AGM reportTwenty eight members attended the AGM by video and in person on 20 May 2025. After the hour meeting, members at Quest Brighton adjourned for drinks, cheese, crackers and catch ups ahead of the season. Key items:
Notice of Incident and ComplaintAn incident occurred at the Club during the 2025 green season and complaints were received about unacceptable behaviour by a reciprocal member and their guest. Information was sought about the situation from relevant parties and the Committee decided to suspend the rights of the reciprocal member to book and visit our Lodge, while the guest is no longer welcome. Our Club is family friendly, and unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated. In light of this incident, all members are reminded that you as the member are held responsible for the behaviour of your guests and that children must be effectively supervised. |
